Best steak and potato beef stew of my life! The flavors popped! A bit of spice, long cut potatoes, tender carrots, and mushrooms galore! I have come several times after receiving $10 gift cards at work. I haven't tried anything that I didn't like. The cashiers are friendly and ready to explain the menu. Desserts up by the register switch up frequently and they are always items you wish you thought of. My favorite so far is a white chocolate Carmel Blondie. The tuna melt, turkey BLT, and chicken salad have all been superb. I'm actually looking to try most of the menu within the year! Yum! The chef waves and smiles and the entire staff is welcoming.

This is a hard one...  I gave no stars for service (will explain below) and four stars for food.  This used to be my favorite local spot for lunch/early dinner.  I tried their breakfast a few times and the egg dishes were never fully cooked.  I have only compliments for their lunch/dinner items.  I love how their chef thinks outside the box for their Daily Specials (which are always delicious). I personally think their desserts, especially frosting, taste too much like butter (although the cake part is always good).  Overall, you can't go wrong here.  They have nice indoor/outdoor eating areas and have healthy options too.

As for service, I used to go on average once per week and stopped going after my experience five months ago (was contemplating whether to say anything).  I placed a pick-up order and went to go pick it up.  I was told that I had to stand behind the line of 10 plus people (lunch rush).  That wasn't the problem (I'm fine with flowing rules).  I waited a good 20-25 minutes to reach the front of the line to only have another lady picking up her pick-up order walk right in front of me and get her order by the same worker who said I had to stand in the line.  When I paid for my order, I said that wasn't fair and he shrugged his shoulders.

Good service is what brings me back to places.

I recently visited Blu Moon Cafe and was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this place! Firstly, the service was great. The staff were very nice and helpful since this was my first time. It is an open and welcoming environment. There is plenty of seating and an outdoor patio for the summer.

Blue Moon Cafe serves both breakfast and lunch. I went for lunch and ordered the California Turkey sandwich. They even let me sample 3 different types of homemade salads to decide which one I wanted to accompany my sandwich. The sandwich was delicious! It was very fresh and filled with turkey, avocado, tomato, cucumber, havarti cheese, and dill mayo. The dill mayo was excellent! I chose the curried lentils as my side. This was also very tasty.

Overall, I definitely recommend Blue Moon Cafe. I can't wait to return and try some other items on the menu.

We really enjoyed our experience at Blu Moon Cafe.  The staff was very helpful in selecting our orders which were paninis and sides.  I went with a spicy Grinder (hot ham and salami with provolone and giardiniera) and a side of smashed potato salad.  The heat from the sandwich surprised me, but it wasn't too hot.  The bread was perfectly toasted, but I will say that the sandwich got a little messy since the giardiniera dripped quite a bit causing the garlic mayo to get on my fingers.

My wife ordered a half tuna melt and thought it pretty good as well.  She got a side of chicken soup with large cubes of chicken, but no noodles.  It was spicy as well.  (She doesn't have a tolerance for heat so she left it unfinished.  I thought it was pretty good, but the chicken definitely got overcooked.)

When you order, they give you a number for your table and bring it out to you when it is ready.  I didn't see anything for busing the tables when done, so I assume they do that for you.

Overall, the staff was great, the food tasted great, though a bit on the spicy side and a little messy.  If you don't mind licking your fingers or using a second napkin, then this is a place to try!

Driving through Carmel and saw this Cafe. Headed in to see what was on the menu. When I came through the door I was greeting with some delicious looking sweets! There was also a cold case with assorted salads. They serve both breakfast and lunch, I missed breakfast so settled on lunch. I ordered the Hot Chicken Bacon (hold the bacon) Ranch Salad. The sandwich was hot and it's real carved pieces of chicken! It also came with cheese and spinach. The sandwich was fresh, delicious and filling. I will add this to my list of repeats. Great Customer Service too.
